FACADE CLADDING WITH HEAT TREATMENT AND CONTROLLED FLAME

Cladding for facades with heat and controlled flame treatment for spruce, larch and Douglas fir boards.

Another type of cladding profile treatment is to enhance the wood with fire – a traditional Japanese method that has hundreds of years of history. The controlled flaming carbonizes the wood in its upper layer and modifies its properties, giving an extravagant appearance to the surface, fibers and textures are highlighted. The flame-treated wood becomes more resistant, able to keep tens of years without maintenance, and much more if every 10 years it is treated with natural oil. The charred surface layer acts as a “screen” against agents that deteriorate the wood (woodworms, molds, fungi, insects, sun, snow, aggressive atmospheres, rot and water).

In addition, an extremely exclusive look with a unique character is created. It is thus possible to completely dispense with other treatments with paints or chemical preservatives. For use on external facades, the profiles do not undergo other treatments because they are very resistant. While for indoor use the burned surface is brushed, cleaned and treated with a special paint to avoid permanent stains.

Different types of heat treatments available for all wooden profiles:

  • BioCarbo. Charred surface for outdoor use
  • BioCarbo-10. Charred surface for indoor use
  • BioCarbo-SET-10. Carbonized, textured and brushed surface for outdoor use with walnut-colored enamel for an extraordinary innovation: the combination of carbonization, structure and enamel creates a unique appearance with excellent properties
  • BioFlam. Slightly flamed surface for exteriors and interiors, extends the design range
